Rector

The Rector is the highest governing body of the University Goce Delcev, who is responsible for and ensures the full functioning of the University and its units. One of the most important obligations of the rector is to promote and advance the educational process and the activities, as well as to coordinate the higher-education activities, the scientific and researh activities and the artistic and applicative activities of the university. The rector plans and organizes the work, it suggests the internal organizational structure and conducts and takes care of all the assests of UGD.The rector conducts a range of ceremonial obligations or i.e. represents the university in public, works on the realization of the cooperation with other universities, institutions and companies in Macedonia and abroad; gives awards and promotes doctors of philosophy. Also the rector is obliged to give an annual report to the Senate for the his work and the work of the University. The function as a Rector of the University Goce Delcev has been held by Prof. Dejan Mirakovski, PhD since september 2022 and with a mandate of 2 years. .
