As of September 2023, Goce Delcev University became a member of the Rectors’ Forum of Southeast Europe and Western Balkans.
This Association of Universities brings together 29 universities from the region with a mission to improve the cooperation between universities and to strengthen the voice of academic institutions in this part of Europe. Goce Delcev University is committed to the promotion of higher education among the countries of Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans and successfully achieves this aim by building a strong and fruitful cooperation with Universities from this area.
In this sense, Goce Delcev University has already signed bilateral agreements with 18 Universities, members of the Forum, among which: the University of Montenegro (Montenegro), University “Ismail Qemali” of Vlora (Albania), Alma Mater Europaea (Slovenia), University of Bihac, University “Džemal Bijedić” Mostar, University in Mostar, University of Sarajevo, University of East Sarajevo and University of Tuzla (Bosnia), University of Belgrade, University of Novi Sad, University of Kragujevac, State University of Novi Pazar (Serbia), University of Zagreb, University of Rijeka and University of Pula (Croatia), University of Prishtina and University of Prishtina in Kosovska Mitrovica (Kosovo). As part of the Goce Delcev’s internationalization strategy, the University is determined to foster new cooperation and to strengthen ongoing collaboration with partners in the following years.
The 8th meeting of the Rector’s Forum of Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans was held on May 30 and 31 at the University of Sarajevo. The meeting gathered 53 representatives for the members of the Forum, and the main aim of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between universities in Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans in the fields of education, research and innovation.
