In celebration of Science Day, Goce Delchev University today awarded the recognitions and awards to the best scientists and researchers from various fields.
– Since its existence until today, we have shown that UGD science is a strategy for development and progress and achieving much higher results in scientific productivity. Scientific productivity is the basic unit of measurement for the rating of universities. The series of measures aim to increase scientific productivity. When we talk about that, we mean relevant scientific journals indexed in SCPOPUS and Web of Science. We recognize the engagement of our employees and students. For the second year in a row, we have been taking measures to motivate employees and scientific research work. One of those measures is precisely the evaluation and awarding of awards for scientific productivity and citations to our professors. This year, compared to last year, we have many young candidates registered, which was not the case last year, and that makes us particularly happy – emphasized Prof. Dr. Zdenka Stojanovska, Vice-Rector for Science at Goce Delchev University.
The problem with new staff and young scientists was also highlighted by the other attendees and emphasized that it is necessary to invest in young staff and scientists.
